35 Weeks Pregnant

About

About 32 Weeks Pregnant

Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Had a doctor's appointment this afternoon. I've been on bedrest (parital) and terbutaline every 4 hrs for the last couple weeks and things are better. My cervix has gone back from starting to efface and dialiate which is good news. After I get through this next week my Dr. wont stop me from going into labor if it happens to come early. This week will be our last birthing class which is both exciting and scary because that means the big day is coming sooner than later...Nick would like to give a shot out to his peeps...haha and he said he is excited for Caleb to come...that's it for now.

We went back to the doctor's yesterday morning and he did another pelvic exam. I am still effacing so he took me off of work as of today and wants me to rest as much as possible until the 37 week when Caleb will be fullterm. He has me taking presciption terbutaline every 4 hours to keep contractions down but I am in preterm labor already. We go back next Tuesday and we will see where we are at!

We had our doctors appointment yesterday, April 4th, (Nick's 28th birthday, btw..)I had been expereiencing some strong contractions earlier in the week and many the day before. Dr. Koning did a pelvic exam and found my cervix was thinning out, or effacing already which puts me at high risk for pre-term labor. He's taking me out of work ASAP, which will be in a week and I may end up on bedrest. We go back Tuesday April 8th for another appointment to see if there has been any change I am just starting my 33rd week so I need to get through 4 more weeks until Caleb is full term. There is a 50/50 chance my water could break at anytime now, so I am trying to take it easy. We did end up making the drive to Vegas to see Nick's family and all is well, so far. We will make the drive home Monday afternoon. Please pray that God continues to protect and develop Caleb, that he would prepare us for whatever is to come. That nor Caleb's or my health would be jeopordized in this time and he would give the Dr. wisdom to guide us through the next through weeks...
