6 Weeks

Caleb will be 6 weeks old tomorrow night and boy has time flown by! We cant believe how alert, smiley, andbright-eyed he is getting. He is so interested in everything around him and loves to smile and attempt to laugh. He had a dr. appointment a couple days before he hit 5 weeks and he weighed 9 lbs and was 22 1/2 inches long. (he was 7lb 6 oz and 19" at birth) we cant believe how big he is getting! I think he looks just like Nick ( and so Ive been told by everyone who's seen him, I guess the next one can look more like me) and is so adorable. His skin has lightened up alot since he was born and his eyes are still a blue green color (which we hope will last!) He sleeps a good 5 hour stretch at night and is up alot during the day which is great. Caleb is really a great baby, not fussy, not colicky, he doesnt cry unless he gets super hungry, so he is really a joy to be around. Hopefully we will get to see Sean and Laura (nicks brother and g/f from hawaii) when and if they come down to Vegas in August. We are taking a trip to go see Nick's dad this weekend which will be fun, he got to visit with little Caleb when he was just 2 days old so he has changed alot. I will upload pictures soon! Caleb Michael Bradshaw is here! He was born on Friday May 16th @ 10:29 pm and weighed 7lb. 6 oz and was 19" long. He was born 12 hours after we went into the hospital. My water had broken so we went in even though I wasnt in active labor and having very few contractions. I was 3 cm when we went in and 5 hours later I was only 4 cm. I still wasnt having really painful contractions but I ended up getting an epidural shortly thereafter. They started pitocin @ 9pm and gave me one small dose. By 10 pm I was fully dilated and ready to push. He was out within 3 pushes healthy and crying. It really was amazing to see life come from you. After having a baby it seems nothing is impossible.
