New Year, New Fun Ahead

It's been a while since I have updated on here so I thought it was time...after all the month is almost up and we are in the new year!
Caleb turned 8 months old January 16 and is quite the handful. He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything at what seems likes lightening speed...He is pulling up on furniture and cruising around on his own. We are hoping to have him walking in the next 2 months. He is a fast learner so we have been practicing taking steps everyday with him and he is getting quite good at it. He is so tall its crazy in comparison to other babies his age...he is a solid boy for sure too. Caleb has been such a great baby. Overall. he has his moments for sure where it makes you question..."What was I thinking?" But, all the minor bumps in the road we've gone through with him are nothing compared to how awesome being his parents is. He is an all around happy smiley laughing baby. Except when teething...the whole teething process can get him to be on his worse side...speaking of teeth he has 6! And more are on there way...It's sad to see him getting all his teeth and growing sometimes...makes me miss the little baby he used to be but he amazes me each day and it makes me really look forward to the coming months and seeing the little boy he is becoming. Speaking of coming months I have started to plan is first birthday party already. It is going to be a Classic Pooh themed party..Caleb is our little pooh bear!

We thought it wou.d be perfect. Only problem is there isnt much around in the way of decorations so we are going to have to be really creative with this one. But it will be worth it! So Caleb s doing great..he is eating less and less baby food each day and has really widened the spectrum of foods he eats..some stuff he really enjoys is:
*Tofu
*Seaweed
*Blueberry pancakes
*White Rice
*Spanish rice
*Sopa
*Bread
*Cheese*
*Cottage Cheese
*Appplesauce
*Macaroni
*Ramen noodles
*Spaghetti
I think you all get the idea. He eats what we eat and loves everything really. He just gets the unsalted, unbuttered, unsugarized versions of it all.

Family wise we are good. We went through bouts of having strep throat, pink eye and colds...of which mine has returned for some reason. Nick is working hard and it looks like his promotion with Starbucks is finally going to happen in the next 2 months because they are in dire need of some assistant store managers in his district. We really need this promotion since I am staying at home fulltime it has been tough financially on us but we are trying out best to make it work. We hope everyone and their families had a safe new year and we are praying for God's direction and guidance this new year.
